Sam Rodia and the Watts Towers

Here's the illustration I made last week for the Volkskrant about Sam Rodia and the Watts Towers. I'm still trying out some new drawing techniques using the pastels I've been buying lately. Hopefully I'll have some more time to try some things out later this week.
A new drawing just got send off and is going to be published in tomorrow's newspaper, so I'll try to update my website again later this week with the new illustration for this series. I also finished another drawing last week (for something else). I still need to edit the scan before I can put it on my website, so maybe I'll work on that today.
