Preview LTTL Graphic Novel

So this is currently the state which my working desk is in. There's brushes, markers, cups of water and sketchbooks all over the place because I'm working my ass off to get the concept art done this week for a new project: A graphic novel! 

I can't say too much about it yet, but basically I got hired to illustrate a story for someone into a book. It's quite a big project so I'm really busy right now. Right now I'm still in the stage of designing all the characters and backgrounds and I'll have some time in between to work on some last personal projects before the real work starts next month.

I've been working on and off on this project for about a month now. This week I've been finalizing the reference sheets for the characters so I would like to show a few sketches I made to you guys.

I started working out a side character first, because she seemed the easiest to design. I received a very clear description of her, so it was easier for me to work out the drawing style while working out her design some more at the same time. Then I moved on to the main characters, but here are all the side characters first. You can see some of the designing process below.
